I began playing when I was 13. I heard guys like Gilmour, Page, Blackmore, Hendrix, Clapton and I really liked to listening to their guitar solo's. I really wanted to be able to do the same thing myself. I never really learn't other people's solo's because I didn't really want to sound like someone else. I was more interested in how guitarists developed their own style so I could, perhaps, one day develop my own.Very quickly, I began listening to what was once known as jazz-rock or fusion: bands like Weather Report, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Mclaughlin, Larry Carlton, Yellowjackets, George Benson, Robben Ford, Billy Cobham, Al di Meola, Stanley Clarke, Return to Forever, Jean Luc ponty, Spyrogyra, Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Hancock, John scofield....many others, and of course Miles Davis.Due to personal reasons I stopped playing after 9 years. I resumed playing after 12 years since I was working my arse off and I was desperately needing a hobby. I feel that these 5 years of playing have been like a different musical "life" since I don't really care whether or not I shall be famous, I just tend to play the way I want, when I want and with whome I want.I find it difficult to define the way I play, I suppose it is somewhere between blues, rock and jazz.I hope you enjoy my clips, allmost all of my clips are made in 45 minutes (5 minutes playing and 40 mixing/producing! :) ).take care,Marin
