BIOGRAPHY
His unique style is revealed through his musical choice and exceptionally mixed sets, unavoidably captivating the audience and heightening the celebration of house music by bringing the focus back to the dance floor. His sets are led by groove and rhythm, at times deep and underground and at other times more fresh and tribal, depending on the atmosphere he wants to create.
Gonzalo Menoyo frequently plays at the hottest clubs worldwide and works with numerous great names in the industry that match his talent in the booth. He has produced internationally acclaimed remixes for leading labels and holds a position as Artistic Director in which he is frequently consulted for the coordination of line-ups for prominent clubs.
In the fall of 2006, Gonzalo Menoyo began co-managing his own label 'Clarisse Records', with DJ Mendo. The young independent label has already given proof of her magnitude and professional approach with releases and remixes by Superchumbo (Tom Stephan), Richie Santana, Kamisshake, Chab, Nikola Gala, Redkone, etc. Producing for the label and working in his recording studio gave Gonzalo Menoyo the means to further expand his creative identity, passion and philosophy with personal productions and astonishing remixes.
Following collaborations with several of the most important radio stations in Spain and Europe that led to his sets being broadcasted on air, Gonzalo Menoyo received worldwide support by radio stations such as Hed Kandi (UK) and Radio FG (France) for his debut remix of DEUX - The Time Is Now (To Celebrate Life) under Urbana Recordings, which reached the highest positions at the main online download stores.
With the DEUX remix being a huge success, it wasn't long before Gonzalo Menoyo was approached by Factomania Digital and Iberican Recordings Digital (Stereo Productions) to produce the remixes for, respectively, ‘Funktion’ by Ismael Rivas and ‘Opions’ by Paco Buggin vs. Zhio.
Working internationally provides the opportunity for Gonzalo Menoyo to further broaden his horizons. He is selective in his collaborations in which he strives to provide quality and integrity; competences which are characterizing and show that he prefers to work with professional truths in both music and collaborations.
As predicted by the industry, Gonzalo Menoyo is someone to be reckoned with. He is continuously proving his talent and success in a most professional and impressive way, while maintaining his creativity, passion and philosophy. While Gonzalo Menoyo is aware of surrounding competitiveness, he still chooses to follow his own ideals and style and has managed to maintain this while evolving over the years.
'Patience and a strong belief in what you want to bring across are the key to success… '.
