OUR MISSION:
Smiling Politely Presents is an organization founded by musicians for musicians, set out to provide concert promotion, live sound, web and graphic design, promotional items, and recording services to local bands and musicians of the San Francisco Bay Area in an honest, fair, organized, and friendly way.
BIOGRAPHY:
      &n bsp    Based in the vibrant and dynamic San Francisco Bay Area, Smiling Politely Presents exists as nothing more than a group of local musicians and friends determined to do their part in keeping the enthusiasm and spirit of the Bay Area music scene alive. By promoting local shows featuring the best young, passionate, hard-working and friendly bands the Bay Area has to offer, Smiling Politely distances themselves from the mass of dishonest and unfair promoters that take advantage of all that local music has to offer. Smiling Politely not only promotes live concerts, but also acts as a resource for up-and-coming bands and musicians, providing helpful information, and services such as: live sound, promotional/merchandise items, web/graphic design, and recording.
      &n bsp    Although the name Smiling Politely was not given to their events until early 2004, East Bay natives Anna Kremenliev and Vincent Lay have been organizing and promoting shows since 2002. With the acquisition of a new sound system in 2004, Smiling Politely has become increasingly more active in the past year, and to date has worked with over eighty local bands and almost a dozen venues. In late 2004, local musician Kevin Ahmadi joined the Smiling Politely Presents team. As the current Smiling Politely Presents trio expands their scope and spreads their message, they are certain to keep true to the ideals on which they were founded, and to attach a sense of integrity, organization, excitement and (most importantly) fun to the name Smiling Politely Presents.
