bsp    With a long line of musicians on both sides of her family, Anna Kremenliev has always considered music to be in her blood. She began playing music at a very young age, experimenting with a wide variety of instruments including: piano, clarinet, trumpet and saxophone. At age thirteen, inspired by dreams of rock superstardom, Anna finally found her true musical passion when she first picked up a pair of drumsticks.

bsp    As a student at Ygnacio Valley High School (Class of 2002), Anna involved herself with the widest variety of musical activities, taking part in the marching band, jazz band, symphony, wind ensemble, and local rock/indie band Fine By Me. She also enrolled concurrently in college music courses (including Steve Sage's Advanced Guitar and Rock, Ryhthm and Blues classes), where she found herself drumming in numerous bands of all musical genres, and surrounded by many other passionate musicians. It was in high school that Anna became certain she would persue a career in music. However, she continued her formal education at the University of California, Berkeley earning her Bachelor's Degree in May 2006, majoring in American Studies (Concentration: Popular Culture) and a minoring in Music. Anna was a member of the University of California Marching Band for four years. While studying at Cal, she contined to attend Diablo Valley College as a Music Industry Studies student and in 2006, she completed certificates in Recording Arts and Commercial Music.

bsp    Anna has not only been an active drummer in the Bay Area for over eight years, but she is also involved in the local scene as a concert promoter, live sound engineer, band manager, tour manager, producer, graphic designer and web developer. Since 2002, Anna and her production company, Smiling Politely Presents, have worked with 11 venues and over 80 local and regional bands to promote concerts in the East Bay Area. As band manager for Kid Moe from 2002-2006, Anna independently booked 2 national tours, hunderds of local shows, and engineered/produced the full length album "Hella OK" (Kupocore Music, 2005).

bsp    Anna continues to persue her dreams of rock superstardom with both original and cover band projects. She is currently available for gigs, recordings, and touring.
