We're hailing from Hayward, California... just a bunch of friends from high school who discovered the same passion for music and decided to spread our tunes to the masses! The band started off as a 3 piece, increased to 4, then to 5, and back down to 4. From the beginning to more recent times we've accomplished many goals.
In the summer of 08, we released a 5 song EP that includes songs you may have heard us play live such as, "This Suit Burns Better" and the crowd favorite, "Your Energy Is Atomic." The release of our EP was followed with a successful show at Slim's in San Francisco in June.
In November, a feature on Ten Pound Handle was published in The Pioneer, the CSU East Bay (formerly CSU Hayward--which it will always be in my heart) newspaper, which can be found in our blog. By the end of the year, Ten Pound Handle was one of the Top 25 Local Bands (out of 116) chosen by Live 105 to compete for an opening spot at Not So Silent Night.
