The Savage Rock School of Music and Performance, a NJ non-profit, was created to give boys and girls, ages 7-18 years of South Jersey, an opportunity to take part in a complete musical experience. We offer much more than your typical music lesson. Our goal oriented program has shown the ability to keep kids motivated and excited for their next lesson. The opportunity to perform, what they've learned, in front of people is invaluable in the building of confidence and self-esteem.Students enrolled receive a 45 minute individual lesson once per week with their instrument. Instruments of choice include guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals. During this lesson the rudiments of music are studied, skills and drills are taught, and songs from various rock artists are learned.Also, 1-2 times per week, students engage in a second 2-3 hour lesson. This lesson is in a rehearsal setting where the students come together with their instruments and play as a band. After 10-12 weeks of rehearsals a show is performed on a Friday/Saturday night weekend.We've done a Led Zeppelin show, an AC / DC show, and a Guns -n- Roses / Nirvana show. We also had the opportunuty of performing at a Camden RiverSharks game. Fifteen or so kids, ages 6-18, have performed 15-18 songs per show, with some kids playing various instruments. It's amazing what children can do when they want to. Our kids do an awesome job performing these songs. Ask anyone that has seen them perform. Pass the word! This is a great value when you consider all you can get from our program.Also we host local shows to give the aspiring young artists in our area an opportunity to perform their music.

A Music School with the goal to get on stage and perform Live!
Each Student will receive:
* A weekly 45 minute one-on-one instruction. Instruments of choice include: Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, and Vocal.
* Two, 2-3 hour weekly rehearsals for the show/songs students are cast in. Rehearsals are Weds.& Sats. and run 10-12 weeks.
* Perform Live as part of our seasonal rock shows. Four - Five shows per year with a 2 night performance for each show. We also seek out other opportunities for our kids to perform.
* Limited use of facility and equipment during normal operating hours.
* Band organizing and support.
* Ages 7-18 welcome! Beginners - Advanced!
