Influences: All the great guitarists...Jimi, Jimi, Joe, Don, Duane, Chet, Vince, Django, Eddie, Andre, Leo, Wes, Steve, Charlie... songwriters like Dylan, Lennon/McCartney, Sting, Don Henley/Glen Frey, Harlan Howard, Dave Loggins, Bruce Hornsby, Springsteen, and all the great writers I've met and worked with on Music Row in Nashville for the last 20 years,... Singers like Paul Rogers, Don Henley, Vince, Jude Cole, and you know, anybody that can actually carry a tune and honestly emote...Love lady rockers like Patty Smythe, Pat Benatar, Janis, and recently Miranda Lambert and...also softer rockers like Joni and Shawn Colvin...These days I've been listening to some tracks by John Mayer, David Gray, Lifehouse, Nickelback, The Wreckers, and assorted others.. My favorite writer of all time is probably Ralph Waldo Emerson (Chew slowly). Love Science Fiction, Science Fact, (The difference is only a matter of time, which really doesn't exist anyway, we just made it up), big ideas, big people ( I mean breadth of Spirit, Heart, Intellect, and Talent...You know..people with the S.H.I.T), this whole quantum thing we call reality, and my children, who are the best songs I ever wrote. (Their mother insists on co-writer credits). Oh and of course, Y'all.
