I am a member of the award winning F-ire collective and I am curently playing with Porpoise Corpus (Peter Wittingham award winner), Jonathan Bratoeff Quartet (a kick ass band featuring Mark Hanslip, Tom Mason and James Maddren), the F-ire large ensemble, Hubcap and the critically acclaimed theatre play Velvet Scratch (Edinbourgh festival, Theatro Hora Athens Greece). I have performed with Pete Wareham (Acoustic Ladyland), Ingrid Laubrock, Tom Arthurs, Seb Rochford (Polar Bear), Ben Davis (Basquia Strings), Martin Speake, Quentin Collins, Dimitris Valilakis, Fima Ephron, Shabaka Hutchings, Nick Ramm (Clown Revisited), Barak Schmool (Time Line), Julian Seigel (Partrisan), Andrea Vicari, Orphy Robinson, Soweto kinch, Brian Edwards. I d like to think of music as a healing and positive force and I am always looking to push boundaries. That is a brief description of who I am ( as a musician! ) but check my website for more infos and sounds. I also run, together with saxophonist Ingrid laubrock a weekly evening" Out of the frying pan" in a great space in Stoke newington, the Others please check out the myspace page below and come down with your vibe ( good 4 sure !!) Peace ----------What the press says :" Bratoeff's voice is touched by an enigmatic introspective quality and stands out on a set of sombre serpentine elegance" Kevin LeGendre, "Acclaimed french guitarist performs his highly distinctive, at time edgy jazz that can swerve between painterly introspection and explosive rock solos" Time out, John Fordham ( Guardian, Jazz uk ) wrote about the Quartet " Subtle, spontaneous, informed contemporary jazz" The first album Between Lines was the Guardian and the Evening standards Cd of the week ****it is available in good records store and online at Amazon.co.uk or Jazzcds.co.uk
