Marc Nobbs - The Known Unknown

Just your average, working class, inner-city escapee, erotic author type chappy.

About Me

Hi, I'm Marc Nobbs, a proudly British author of erotica and erotic romance. I have published work at the respected illustrated e-zine Ruthie’s Club , self-published work at Lulu.com, and in 2008, I released two novellas with Phaze books.

I live in the Northamptonshire countryside, just a stone’s throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was, well, plotted. It’s far cry from my inner-city roots, but that’s what an education does for you.
I work full-time for a firm of solicitors, counting other people's money and wishing that all those zeros represented his own millions. I cry like a baby every time has to write a six figure cheque with someone else’s name on it.
I'm originally from Wolverhampton in the Black Country, and despite having escaped that god-forsaken place, I still lives in hope that I may one day see my beloved Wolves pick up a trophy. (It's a very vain hope) I studied at the University of Wales in Aberystwyth. I'm still not sure how he ended up in Northampton.
I started writing erotica in the late Nineties and I freely admits that what I produced back then was complete and utter tosh. But at least it was hot, sexy tosh. In 2004 I found Desdmona’s Fishtank (where for some obscure reason they still call mr Knobbie). With the help of the wonderful authors I met there, my writing improved by leaps and bounds. Now I have a much better idea what commas are for, understand plot structure and character development and have a panic attack every time I write a passive sentence.
When I'm not writing erotica, reading erotica, or working, I enjoy DIY and gardening (at least, that’s what Mrs Nobbs tells me), and shouting at rubbish footballers who aren’t worth the money they’re paid. I also enjoy beating my father-in-law at chess. My favourite mainstream author is Terry Pratchett.

Books:

Matt Marsden hopes that a reunion may be a chance to enjoy a romance he missed out on. But his secret love has a surprise for him. A surprise that will change his life, forever. Marc’s stunning first novella.
Charlotte’s got a secret- in fact she’s got several. But she’s not the only one hiding things in this tale of love and betrayal. Secrets, lies and twisted schemes - Charlotte’s Secret has it all.
“I need a hug,” were the last words Beth typed before signing off for the night. So what else could Chris, her Cyber-lover, do except catch a plane and cross the Atlantic Ocean in order to fulfil her request - and maybe much, much more
Dana Rubeck grasps the opportunity to interview her favourite author of erotic fiction at his mansion on the outskirts of her hometown. But, disarmed by his rich British voice and natural charm, she allows him to show her that he doesn’t only write about great sex. Could he possibly be as talented as his fictional heroes?

Heroes:

Terry Pratchett springs instantly to mind, but I might have to think about some more, cause lots of people seem to have loads of heroes listed.
