About Me

PLEASE CHECK MY PICS FROM MY LATEST SHOOT!

Hello, my name is Joe Ripple. So, why am I on MySpace? Well, I'm a published Horror Film Director and professional photographer. To me, being creative occupies ninety percent of my life. I've opened my own photo studio as a way of helping actors and models with photographs that they may need to expand their portfolio. I offer my services in photography, charging fair rates so that my actors or models don't get ripped off and over-charged for their photos! I'm always on the lookout for new models to work with. I do have references from other models and actors I have worked with and since I'm married, I'm not interested in "dating" or any other type of "hook-up" or unprofessional encounter.

(You can also find me working part-time at a true dream job -- The Appalachain Bluegrass music shop in Catonsville, which specializes in selling acoustic instruments and providing music lessons.)

As I said earlier, I'm also a published horror/sci-fi movie film director, with five films under my belt with Maryland based Timewarp Films, www.timewarpfilms.com. Three of our films have been distributed worldwide, two are in post-production. You can see the trailers for the films below. If you like the trailers, make sure you "friend request" us at our myspace page, which is www.myspace.com/timewarpfilms.

Please note that I'm neither shy or homophobic. I enjoy working with everyone. I prefer that you be up front with what images you need. Please note that I am a retired police officer, so ladies, you are safe and WELCOME to bring a friend or chaperone with you. (I'll have a female chaperone here with me as well…my wife.) Guys - you can bring a friend or chaperone also, if you feel that you need one.

My ultimate goal is that with your photos, I want the viewer to be able to get some kind of feeling from your image…a story taken from a still frame of life…that allows the viewer to respond with emotion to the photo that he or she sees. Anyone can take a T & A shot…a great body is a blessing, but still is unimaginative and somewhat dull when not posed correctly. Your photo should tell a story. That's what I want to give you. So, whether it's a senior portrait, a great headshot or something with an "FHM" feel, let me be the eyes for your photos!

ALL models must sign a release. This is not negotiable.

Please contact me if you have any questions, including my special "MySpace" rates! I thank you for stopping by. Please check out my website for more photos and information about me, www.ripplephotos.com. (References are available upon request.)

Homemade Photography that sucks!

Ok. Here we go. I'm constantly amazed at the poor quality photos that most people post online to "represent" themselves. Handheld camera phones, digital cameras shot into mirrors...with the (ugh!) fla...
