GENEVE DECREE

THE NOISE OF NEW GENERATION

About Me

Started 1985 like HC/Thrash trio, influenced by Finish bands from that time... Because of continual changes inside the band, sound of band changed too from Thrash over the melodic HC to Crossover...
First Album -"MOSTAR"- recorded 1986 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) in studio Borut Cinc 8 tracks. It was released in 1987 and debuted at number one on couple of local radio stations... Following the release of their first album, Kokich (singer) left amicably due to personal differences with the remaining members...
Second Album - "DONT WANNA BE A PART OF FUCKIN’ MASS"- from 1988 recorded in Sarajevo (studio Vogue) 6 tracks... With a new singer and a new line up (Habi/ Djoko/ Golub/ Mujic) it featured a wider array of musical styles and influences than the earlier album...
Been on lot Compilation (SKUC,PST...). Among others :» Cudeza ne bo»,»Nasa cetica koraka»,» U Yu sve je dobro»...Also been on video compilation-..86»Ni strahu», & on a couple of english COMP like «So Many Heads»,»***** Vivisextion». The greatest success(thanx to Tibery) was Comp. Lp»The Return of Yugoslavia»...
Geneve Decree’s attitude and style, as much as their music, strongly influenced many other Balkan punk rock bands from the 1980s. They are generally credited with pioneering the advocacy of radical politics...
1996. the three members met in Sweden by coincidence and in march 1997 they went into the studio to record their third album "10 YEARS"... With a new guitar player it was slightly different material than previous, more "back to the roots" and sound came closer to old punk...
The whole reunion thing was a very emotional time for all band members. They find themselves facing old issues again...
1998/99 They came back together to play a small number of live shows, many accompanied by rumors of being the "final show"...
In year 2000 the band returned home and shifted focus to other projects outside the GD... & Couple of more Comp CD..s:
