I am a 23 year old R&B artist by the name of Demitrus Thomas. Born in Aiken, South Carolina and living my teenage and adult years in Greenwood, South Carolina is where and how I was introduced to the entertainment business. Greenwood is where I discovered I had a real talent and not just a dream, but a reality, and a passion for music. This was more than just singing to the radio and to the videos, this was and is my life and I gotta make it happen. I became determined to network with all the local artist out here doing their thing and just basically learning from the "fellaz" that were trying to make it happen.
I started off singing in my high school Coffee House gigs, local talent shows, weddings, back ground for Randy Bowman, a featured vocalist for a band called Ice Box, record pools, show cases for clubs, writting/singing hooks for more than twenty-plus rappers, and opening in many special music events. I later on snagged a few gigs opening for national recording artists such as Shanice, Cherelle, D4L, and having my project and image critiqued by record executives, managers, and radio personalities through Fattz of 96.3 Kiss FM of Clear Channel Broadcasting.
I grew up listening to all types of music so I am open to all types of production ideas and image consultaions to help further my career as an entertainer. My musical influences are legends such as Elton John, Madonna, Prince, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige and many more. So to sum it all up, I've learned from the best and I want to bring the "taste" back into R&B music that I have been blessed to hear while growing up.
