I was born Herbert DaShun Martin on May 20, 1983 in Heidelberg ,Germany. I was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma and now I reside here in Greenwood,South Carolina.I've been in church all of my life so, that is one of my musical influences. My biological father is a Pastor and, my stepfather is a Minister that also loves music. Lucy is short for "Lucifer" who was once God's greatest creation. He was known for many things but, mostly known for being "The Angel Of Music".He was thrown out of heaven for going against God's word and that's when he became who we all know him as today..."Satan".Now, your question to me would be,"Out of all the names in the world, why would you choose to be called Lucy?,"because I feel like God created me the same exact way, with the gift of music, and with the same choices..."am I going to do what he put me on this earth to do? or am I going to go against his word and end up the same way Lucifer did?Those same two choices don't only apply to us who do music but, to everyone on this earth because, God put us all here on this earth for a reason, and that reason is to spread his word some way some how. It took me a while to understand the message that God intended for me to bring in my music but, now I'm slowly started to see it. No I'm not a gospel rapper but, I feel like I'm heaven sent...that's why I consider myself Lucy... The Angel Of Music!
