What do I say about me? Emerged into this world so long ago, born a "Lincolnshire Yellowbelly" I spent my formative years in the desolate wastes of the Fenlands, clawing a living from the partched soil in the school holidays, that were adjusted in our areas that we pathetic urchins may be put to work on the land, grubbing for friuts and berries, to be shipped to far of worlds, (London,places with supermarkets)You recall the recent M&S ad, "Hand picked strawberries, not just food, M&S food, reality, there is no such thing as a strawberry picking machine!, they are all hand picked, and the bad ones go to make jam!)So the wretched youth of the blacklands work a 72 hour day, in conditions that make the term "slave labour" seem a promotional prospect Eventually I grew up, all the way to 6'5, and fled to find freindship and fortune in the big smoke I found work with Thorn Emi testing missiles, (BANG!, yup, that one worked, BANG! yup, that one worked!) but the cold war ended, the ecomony changed so Dixons replaced our range of toasters, refridgerators, and sea wolf anti aircraft armourments with foreign imports and cd players And thusly, I became a UPS engineer, and found the meaning of the word BANG!, there is nothing like standing in front of a collossal behemoth of a screaming UPS as it erupts into a ball of flames to make you realise how much you love life, if you can only have just a few more seconds of it!. Ahh, but there are the benefits,All the London land marks, The Gherkin, Canary Warf, The Royal Festival Hall,Palaces, Galleries, I have spent long lonely nights burried in the bowels of them all! And so I decend into darkness, and emerge a sadoldmadoldgoth The sleeper awakens!
