Okay - other than the usual (music, food, love, lust, great books and movies etc.) I'm pretty interested in self improvement.the next step is embracing it.
Everybody. There really isn't enough time for that.So my list had better be pretty short. The Dalai Lama? Sasha Baron Cohen? Thom Yorke? Emily Haines??Just figure I'd like to meet you and that's a great first step.
Instead of listing a lot of music you either like, don't like, or haven't heard of before I'll just say this:When music ceases to enthrall me in its man-made moment of bliss it loses me. When my precious attention is devoted to feeling the tones and emotions crafted by another person it grips me.If it is background noise you seek why not just open a window and listen to the street or the noise of the rushing wind. Those have more power and importance than a sound to satisfy a truly petty craving.
I like movies that either make me think or are ampeccably crafted works of art. Pi, Star Wars, Apocalypse Now, King Kong...big, beautiful, poignant, slick, cunning - If it warrants a heartfelt explanation then it's worth my time.Or if it makes me piss myself laughing. When that's the case then feed me gallons of water and leave me alone with the DVD. I can supply my own towels.
As long as it's either genuinely funny, groundbreaking, well produced, or has important content I'll stick there. If not I'll surf channels for hours until I either turn the tv off or find something worth my time.My Television is in a corner of my apartment with a blanket over it for a reason.

All of the people in my life that have fallen to their depth, saving me from mine own.I live, in part, from example.Keep screwing up and I'll be able to make the easy decisions.
