Progressive Hard Rock & Old School Guitar Heroics!

About Me

Many people become musicians with the goal of becoming famous and wealthy, and will play whatever style of music is in fashion at any given moment, hoping this will move them towards their goal. Others enter into the world of music to play music that moves them on emotional, intellectual, and even spiritual levels. They will stay true to their vision, without consideration to financial rewards and celebrity. Clark Colborn is of the latter type, having walked away from commercial sure things which would have meant abandoning the music that stirs his soul. As the guitarist behind Clark Plays Guitar, the name given to both the band and the CD, Colborn strives to create new sounds and compositions that are probably not what your average major-label puppeteer is after. Audiences, however, devour Clark Plays Guitar with proverbial relish.Combining hard rock guitar sounds with elements of classical music, progressive rock, blues, and even heavy metal, Clark Plays Guitar appeals to people who love powerful & yet melodic music. The typical fan seems to be of above-average intellect, prone to not following the crowd, and has an adventurous nature. And perhaps contrary to what the major-label types would have you believe, there are a lot of music lovers that fit this profile.Colborn understands that audiences want to be entertained, as well as inspired and stimulated during a live music event, so he and his band push the envelope during every show. They deliver on every level to create a concert experience that has been described as a high-voltage, electrifying roller-coaster ride of hard-driving rock.Check out the music!
