TROLL™

TROLL (Norwegian Black Metal) It all began back in 1992 when Fafnir started to write songs together with Glaurung and Nagash.They recorded the totaly underground demotape "Trollriket", wich ended up beeing spread from person to person in the hardcore underground scene all over the globe. After a while Glaurung decided to leave the band to pursue other aspects of life. Fafnir moved into the mountains up north for study and inspiration, taking a break from the project, but NOT leaving the band. Nagash then, after confering with Fafnir, recorded 3 songs for demo nr 2 "Trollstorm Over Nidingjuv". The demo was re-recorded, together with one of the tracks from the first demo, and became a 4 track EP. By the end of 1995 Troll recorded the album "Drep De Kristne" ("Kill The Christians"), and was released in 1996.A provocative title on a provocative album..... During this period Nagash also started the band Covenant to be able to express himself on all levels. He also joined Dimmu Borgir on bass guitar. With Nagash quite busy with both Covenant and Dimmu Borgir, and Fafnir working at Elm Street Rock Cafe in Oslo booking the famous Black Metal Nights, Troll was resting for a while... But the norse beasts was not done rampging... more was to come!!!! Five years was to pass before Troll was ready to record another album.... Or two... Fafnir, now under the name Sinister Minister Twice, was doing his psycothic vocals and the twisted lyrix. Hellhammer (Mayhem++++) was doing the drums of death. Ursus Major (Street Legal, DaVinci) was doing the bassguitar and also had the job as producer. Nagash was doing the guitars and synth orchestrations. Psy Coma (The Kovenant) donated loops and samples. The new Troll crew then recorded the albums"The Last Predators"(released 2000), and "Universal" (released 2001). Now moving from grim symphonic black metal with norwegian lyrics,to a hybrid of black, death, trash metal with some industrial elements and mostly english lyrics. Also the contents of the lyrics changed, from christian hating simplistic lyrics, to furious psychotic riddles. What to come is only known to some...... "KILL YOUR CHILDREN, RAPE YOUR WIFES!!!"
