Tribal Zone is a collective made up of 4 complementary artists based in the heart of the Swiss Romand whose first love is Experimental Electronic music. Fab'Art, DLP, Frank Master and Jacqui are Tribal Zone; their different music cultures bring together the rhythms of Broken Beats, Electronica, and Clicks 'n Cuts and they shake it up into an original groove. Within Tribal Zone there are 4 definite concepts: each artist is a Dj in his / her own right and then there are 3 live acts 1a) DLP (Dj Set) a melting pot full of surprises, DLP has an interesting set as his love of unusual remixes of classics and his wide music background renders his set a delicacy for all music lovers. Plays mainly Minimal / Electronica / Electro jazz... Influences: Kraftwerk, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hattaway, Coltrane, Davis, Erik Truffaz, Buggie Wesseltoft, Herbert, Bj Radiohead 2a) Frank Master (Dj Set) A dynamic and outright groovy set intertwined with scratching and an excellent technique which makes him a dance floor favorite. 2b) Frank Master (LIVE) A purely improvised analogical, organic live, where he uses everyday objects, noises and sounds to put his public under his spell. Original, inventive, this live has caught the attention of artists such as Fabric Lig aka Soul Designer (F-Com / RayGun), Smash TV (BPitch Control) and Phil Parnell (Perlon) some of who have commissioned him for remixes and future collaborations. 2c) Electrik Soda (LIVE) The burden of machinery sometimes hindering the dance floor, Frank Master also has a more minimal, lighter, groovy live set concept: - Electric Soda. Less machinery to control also gives him more time to "shake his own ass" while playing ;o) 3a) Fab'Art (Dj Set) been spinin' for 10 years, he is a Dj that doesn't hesitate to get down on the dance floor and boogie, Fab'Art has a touch for the click n' cut. His lively set tends to put everyone in a good mood. 3b) Fab'Art (LIVE) a purely electronica based live accompanied by singer Ana Jovanovic makes for a truly melodic mixture of hard bassline and subtle vocals. His eclecticism can be felt through his compositions uniting Experimental Electro with Downtempo. 4a) Jacqui (Dj Set) brings a feminine touch to the collective with her groovy minimal sound. Her love of the "funky baseline" makes an original blend of lighter, dance floor orientated music as opposed to the more "mental" vibe and gets hips swaying and feet tapping.
FRANCAIS ::::
