- Does anyone remember the show "The Big Blue Marble"? It was all about our Earth. It would also set you up with a pen-pal. I got into that when I was 13. I'm almost 42 now and still have the pen=pals. Altho now I call them pen-friends and some have become real friends that I wouldn't trade for anything. I am an honest writer so if you'd like to correspond...you'll find that I always write back. Nothing erks me more then someone who takes the time to write but then stops. If I have an uncomfortable feeling about someone I'll at least let them know I won't be writing to them any more. At one time I had almost 200 pen-friends...I had to cut down as I was paying a LOT in postage. I had some that would just write a sentence. It's MUCH easier now with e-mail and I have several e-pals. Friends are great !!!! I just last year was introduce to The Lord Of The Rings and then recently to the Harry Potter series....LOVE them !!!! Also a bit into the SCIFI...I do like the Star Trek Next Generation and Enterprise with Scott Bakula...miss him and Quantum Leap....miss those shows....Sliders....anyone remember Brisco County Jr.?
