Music and language have been a part of my life from the very beginning...I grew up listening to folk music, playing classical piano, and writing both poetry and prose. These pastimes became a foundation for my ventures into songwriting as an adult.
Over the past few years, I have begun seriously studying the art of songwriting, using lyric and melody to create a mood, evoke a familiar memory. When I hear a really amazing song, with just the right words, I think to myself, "I wish I wrote that." This is the response I'd love to evoke from those who hear my songs.
Today I am busy in the studio, creating demos to share with friends and industry professionals. If you like what you hear...pass it along!
My secondary love is photography...capturing images that strike me to share with others. I'm starting to explore this avenue a little more now, especially with the incentive of illustrating my music with my own pictures. I've been experimenting with making some of my work available on tshirts, cards, and other items...if you're interested, take a look:
