Music: It's not just for breakfast anymore

About Me

Writing stories, writing songs, writing my life on the page as it unfolds before me. Gotta love it. Finished one CD, "These September Days" (available at www.cdbaby.com/jimbrumm, just in case you can't live without a copy). It was a three-year labor of love and the songs cover a wide spectrum of styles, folk, jazzy rock, blues shuffle, cajun and swing. Obviously I am having identity problems.People ask, what kind of music do you play? The only answer is music I love, music that comes to me in the night or in the car or in the shower. I'm not just washing in there. Music that seems sometimes to be channeled from another place - a place I would love to visit.I Play at open mics here and there around the area. Hope to see you at one soon. I Moved to Santa Rosa in June (from Napa). I am loving Sonoma County and meeting all the other souls who channel music when they're supposed to be doing something else. If you see me somewhere, come up and introduce yourself. We might recognize each other from another place, the place the music comes from.
