I am a 31 year old male who loves to shread evil licks on my various guitars and play riffs that makes filthy chavs want to run and hide in the nearest church for salvation.I have been in various bands over the years such as Blasphemer,Dominion,Suicide and most recently Warhead. It all started back in the late 1980's and early 1990's when my self and very good friend Mass Firth started our first band Blasphemer playing evil death metal. We quickley established our self on the metal underground in the UK realeasing two demo's Blaspemer(1992) and Dominion(1994) which saw us been voted best unsinged act of 1994 by Terrorizer magazines readers poll.Lots of gigging all over the UK followed and we estblished our self as a live act gigging with alsorts of bands such as Ancient Rites,soltice.In 1995 we recorded an unreleased demo which resulted in us securing a record deal with peaceville records.However by then we had began experimenting with female vocals and a name change to Dominion occured as it was felt at the time the name Blasphemer no longer reprisented the direction we now heading towards. We decided to go for the Dominion as it was the Blasphemer demo that had recieved crtical aclaim. Two Dominion albums followed for Peaceville Interface(1996)and Blackout(1997). Blackout recieved a kkkk review by Kerrang.However Music for Nations who at the time was the parent company of Peaceville put every obsticle in our way you can imagine and to put it bluntly didn't give a rats arse about us and pretty much viewed us a tax right off. Unfortunatley this resulted in alot of infighting in the band over lots of things none of which I care to go into and the end result was the end of Dominion(R.I.P). Strangely this year 2006 saw Peaceville release a new Dominion album called Threshold A Retrospective which is a compilation of the two Dominion albums we did for them and a couple unreleased tracks thrown in for good measure which has been recieving great reviews both in magazines and on the net.Again getting KKKK review in Kerrang magazine and them hailing us as Brit Metal pioneers and a criminally overlooked band".Any way after Dominion I moved to London and to be honest had a hard time for a few years and became very dissilutioned with the music Industry so much so I didn't even play guitar for four years. I eventually thought FUCK this and picked up my guitar again and started writing.I joined a band called Suicide for a while but the members of this band were all FUCKED up junkies and they were impossible to work with.After that I decided to do my own band originally called WARHEAD but later changed the name to VX WARHEAD(cos there are too many bands called WARHEAD). This was orignally myself and long time friend Gareth Wilson's project.We set about writing the first VX WARHEAD tunes together and the results were much better than I could of hoped for(Kick Arse Classic Metal).Unfortunatley Gareth to leave the band due to his increasing work load outside of music.This has left me as the sole songwriter for a while of all VX WARHEAD material which to be honest was restricting in some ways and in others very unrestricting.However as VX WARHEAD was about to start going out and playing live my drummer and bass player had to unfortunatley be fired due their I am sad to say immature and anal attitude towards music eg telling me that I was not allowed to write guitar riffs with our other guitarist(yeah you heard it right).More recently VX WARHEAD has had a new recruit in to it's ranks my good frind Pekka (from Finland) on Lead/Rythem guitars. Pekka is also now gonna be joining in the writing side of stuff too and I am stoked to have him on the team cos he truely rocks and is a great player. At the moment VX WARHEAD is looking for a drummer/ bass player & lead singer so if you think you fit the bill and you like having fun smoking weed and playing metal then get in touch.(no time wasters or people that don't wanna have fun with music).
