MySpace Editor

MySpace Layouts MySpace Editor Icons Collage MySpace Graphics MySpace Codes Let me start by expressing that if you want to send a request to be my friend, DON'T bother if you're NOT going to write something (productive) to me about yourself via message FIRST, otherwise, I'll just continue to click deny, deny, deny...this is not a "Who's got the most friends on myspace" contest for me, or a "piggy-back promoting page" for your band/music/whatever (unless, of course, your music's REALLY GOOD, and then you'll have to prove that to me. I'm about gaining QUALITY friends and acquaintances (and that translates to people whom I can really learn something productive from; people who have a smart sense of humour, and people who respect others); it's not about the quantity of people I want on my page, that's just ridiculous. I improve myself by truly LISTENING to what others have to say, esp. on a professional level (i.e., their work, what they do, what makes them really laugh out loud, what they'd REALLY love to do but can't now for whatever reason) and these are the people that will ultimately end up on my page...and so far, so good!! OK, just wanted to get that out of my system...and now, about myself...I am the co-author of the 180-page cultural application for The Salsa Museum in Spanish Harlem, NYC, submitted in 2001. That same year in June, Lubona Corporation received the charter from New York State Regents, Department of Museum Chartering. Presently, I am the Chief Operating Officer for Lubona Corporation, a consultancy focusing on education, museum consultancy, audience development, lectures, and didactic performances on the 350 plus year evolution of an American musical genre called SALSA, amalgamated by NuYoricans and Puerto Ricans in New York City's El Barrio. In 2001, Lubona Corporation left The Salsa Museum to consult for The Department of Musical Instruments for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. As COO of Lubona Corporation and together with Jose Obando, CEO of Lubona Corporation, I helped with the acquisition of Bata drums, Timbales, Puerto Rican Guiro, Maracas and a Cuatro (one of Puerto Rico's five-stringed instruments) now on exhibit at the MET. We are working in acquisitioning other Afro-Amerindian instruments into the MET's gallery. In my spare time I design T-shirts which can be purchased at cafepress.com/maurameow. I also enjoy filming and editing for interviews and performances of Salsa bands. One of my other absolute favorite pasttimes is mixing my own music (listen to my mix on this page), specifically Salsa, on my computer utilizing Sony's ACID PRO.Visit www.salsasight.com to get more details on Lubona Corporation/Salsasight.com's work.Oh! And don't forget to read my blogs...will be adding more stuff soon!!
