About Me

Passionate about music, I have been singing all my life. At the age of 15, I decided to take classical singing lessons, which gave me the chance to improve my range and vocal technique. I have benefitted from this training a lot, although I also enjoy using other vocal styles. In november 2007, I was contacted by Stijn De Rouck from Berserkir; a band who was in search of a female vocalist. I'm part of this black metal formation since, and enjoying every minute -as insane as it sometimes might be- of it! We write, rehearse and perform our music at a regular basis, just keep an eye on this page, or the Berserkir-myspace every now and then to keep informed.Next to my passion for metal music, I also work on some things of my own. They're mostly covers of songs I love, or recorded for some other reason. They'll pop up on this page once in a while, with some words of explanation to accompany them. The blog section will keep you up to date on any of my activities...Meanwhile: enjoy your stay!

Influences: Any talented musician who is passionate about his/her doings and true to his/her beliefs... This can vary as much between genres and musicians, as ways in which one can be influenced.There are singers that have made an impression on me for their know-how and the shivers down my spine. There are performers that have given me the basic idea of how I wanted to perform as a (metal) singer. There are songwriters that have opened my eyes to different kinds of music and how to approach them in the best way as a singer. There are other musicians that I've worked with and that have challenged me to push my limits. There are people that have lend me their ears and never grew tired of giving a well-opinionated, critical review of my doings, and have so helped me to learn things and improve what I did.And there is the ever-burning passion within me... Which fuels it all.

New Berserkir Songs Online!

The band that I joined in february of this year, Berserkir, has recorded a few songs a couple of weeks ago. Now that we have finished the mixing and mastering, they are finally to be found online...
