Hung Dynasty

At the Southwest Corner of Metal and Rock

About Me

Hung Dynasty makes loud, straight-up rock without the whiney navel-gazing. We're all about cranked-up guitars, sing-along choruses and riffs you can't get out of your head.

Selected by AZCentral.com readers as one of Arizona's Top 10 Local Bands!

Todd Corbeil, vocals & guitar
Justin Schmid, lead guitar & backup vocals
Laura Rude, bass guitar & backup vocals

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Todd is our cherubic frontman, guitarist and co-founder. His signature move is breaking his big, gold Elvis glasses onstage...and nearly being electrocuted on more than one occassion.

Chris is our drummer. He once had a tower of cymbals crash down onto him onstage...and he still kept the beat! Maybe it's because of all that practice dropping his sticks.

Laura is really a guitarist, but she switched to the bass so she could join Hung Dynasty. That's how fun we are. Is your band cool enough to make somebody switch instruments? Yeah, that's what we thought!

Justin is our lead guitarist. He once nearly slid off a stage by slipping on a pink meshy thing that may have been a thong, but it was so large he didn't want to risk a closer look.
Influences: Todd: AC/DC, Black Sabbath
Chris: Iron Maiden, Journey
Laura: Tool, Guns 'n' Roses
Justin: The Scorpions, Queensryche

Sounds Like: Varies greatly according to when the songs were written. Our earlier material was once described as "a cross between The Scorpions and The Refreshments." Most of the newer material is getting heavier...as Justin recently told Todd "You'll be wearing corpsepaint by Easter!"

But seriously: Just listen to the music, and tell us what you think! Better yet, come see a show...you'll hear a lot of the newer stuff that's not been recorded yet.

I need a china cymbal

I am very frustrated.  About  16 years ago I found a china cymbal that I loved.  I couldn’t hit the thing enough.  About 10 years ago I cracked it.  It was a $400 cymbal...
