About Me

About me....hummm....lets see. I am 5'7" tall with curly red hair and blue eyes. I am orginally from Decatur, Alabama but have lived in central Illinois most of my life. I am married to a wonderful man and I am mom to a teenager. Being the mother of a teenager has made me understand why animal mothers sometimes eat their young. I love anything celtic. Music, art, folklore, jewerly, etc. If it is celtic I will like it. My husband plays the bagpipes with a pipe band from the area. We have fun traveling around the midwest with his band for parades and competitions. I have a fondness of the great highland pipes. .. I am very much into the outdoors. I love camping, fishing (as long as someone else removes the fish from the hook for me), hiking, gardening, stargazing, bonfires....being outside is one of my passions. Thank goodness for sunscreen...:) I am a spiritual person. I know there is a higher power...something much more than what I am. I do not follow the ways of most organized religions. My personal church is the outdoors. What better way to get close to God (or Goddess)???

There are many, many more that I like when it comes to music.

Movies:

My all time favorite is still "Wizzard of Oz". I also like to watch "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", "Revenge of the Nerds", "The Wall", "Heavy Metal", "First Knight", "Prince of Theives (Kevin Costner's Robin Hood epic)", "Twister", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "Pretty Woman", "Steel Magnolias", "Braveheart", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"....

Television:

Ghost Whisperer, Vegas, Life, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, Californication, Brotherhood and whatever catches my fancy.....

Books:

I read them. I love books by Jimmy Buffett, Fannie Flagg, James Patterson, Nora Roberts.....
