JAGER BOMBS AWAY

About Me

WELCOME TO SYDNEY JAGER BOMBS
this profile is for fans of the jager bomb which has swept the many pubs, clubs and households around sydney especially over the past two years. Jager and jager bombs are now considered one of the most popular drinks to date with sales over the past 2 years growing by more than 400%
WHAT IS A JAGER BOMB? very simple for those of you who dont know:
a jager bomb (in sydney) is simply 125ML (half a can) of RED BULL poured into a glass. a 30ml shot of jagermeister (a herbal snapps - see id like to meet to read about jagermeister) . the drinker will then DROP the shot into the glass of red bull and drink rapidly.WHAT DO WE NOT LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN WITH A JAGER BOMB? *We dont like cheap imitations of red bull such as RHINO. *we dont like the shot glass being placed into the glass with the red bull poured around the jager. the whole novelty of a jager bomb is being able to drop the shot in yourself or watching the barman create a jager train. *We also do not like shot glasses taller than the glass itself! and finally *make sure you do not run out of jagermeister or redbull!
WHAT IS THE AIM OF THIS PROFILE?

Jägermeister is a strong (70-proof; 35%) liqueur flavored with herbs (similar to Danish stomach bitters such as Gammel Dansk, the Hungarian Unicum, or Czech liqueur Becherovka ). The exact list of the 56 herbs used to make Jägermeister is kept secret. Although licorice is a major component of its flavor, it is not as predominant in Jägermeister as it is in true licorice-flavored liqueurs. Contrary to urban legends, Jägermeister contains neither deer blood [1] nor opium. Jägermeister is the main product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered are in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany.

Jägermeister comes from the German word Jäger meaning "master of the hunt" in the sense of "expert" or "committed" hunter. The Jägermeister logo, the head of a stag with a glowing cross between the antlers, is a reference to the story of Saint Hubert. On the edge of the label of a Jägermeister bottle, the following poem by Otto von Riesenthal is printed:

The company was founded in 1878 by Wilhelm Mast. In 1934, the recipe for the herbal liquor was developed, and the product was introduced to the German market in 1935. The original purpose of this concoction was medicinal; being used to cure everything from an incessant cough to digestive problems. In Germany, it is still widely recognized as a digestif and is kept in many German households for such purposes. Beginning in 1970, it was exported to 60 countries. In the USA, it became popular through savvy promotion by Sidney Frank and association with the wild partying of heavy metal bands like Metallica and Slayer. Jägermeister is the tour sponsor of underground metal bands such as Hemlock and 8mm Overdose. The product was widely used as an alcoholic "shooter" and in many American bars today.

Since the beginning of the 1960s, the international market for Jägermeister has been expanding rapidly and today accounts for 71% of total sales. Jägermeister is currently distributed in over 60 countries worldwide. The most important international market is the USA, where Jägermeister has become a cult drink for the younger generation. Italy is currently the second biggest international market, followed by the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Austria. Sales have more than quadrupled in Central and Eastern Europe over the last few years. Today Jägermeister is even available in countries as far away as South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Since 2000 Jägermeister has also been produced and bottled under a licensee arrangement in Brazil. According to an analysis by "Impact International", Jägermeister ranks no. 13 in the Top 100 list of international premium spirits.TAKEN FROM:
