A Day In The Life...

About Me

Hi ! Welcome to my world- My name is Jon - I am a musician/songwriter/guitarist from Sweden...

Music bio:

Born in the summer of 1975 in Malmö, the south of Sweden. With my father Robban Larsson, a guitarist(Lotus, Take Off, Asoka)who also worked as a musicteacher I always had music very close to me. Being on the road with my father and getting to know the music business at an early age. I was brought up on Beatles and other great acts like them. In my teenage years I started drifting more against heavier rock like Guns and roses, Metallica and Kiss. Soon I wanted what every cool kid wanted, and that was to be in a band of course! I was a "late bloomer" on playing the guitar so I didn't pick it up untill I was about 16.The first band I joined was a local Limhamn band called Kid Wicked, they were a Skid Row/GnR influenced rockband. I played rhythm guitar and was so happy to finally be in a cool band! After about a year of playing gigs at The Spot (local youth center) I quit the band and formed my own with some friends from school. The band was called Shit Happens. By then I was writing my own material. Shit Happens changed it's line up and was later renamed Crash Diet. We had a local success, playing gigs and putting out a demo E.p. After the rock n' roll teenage years, me and two friends formed a acoustic coverband .We were called F.I.N.E. (Fucked up, Insecure, Neurotic, Emotional) Playing sweet unplugged versions of bands like Bon Jovi and Cinderella. The songwriting progressed and F.I.N.E began playing it's own material. I also was part of a Denniz Pop/Max Martin inspired songwriting team called Q-pid Tunes. After a couple of years F.I.N.E split. I was asked to join Undercover-a successful coverband with a lot of gigs. Our trio of Undercover later wanted to expand the line up by adding keyboards and a steady bass player. So we called two guys, a duo called Stämbandet. With a fivepart harmony and music influenced by Toto, Jellyfish, Bon Jovi. LimeManic was formed. After a few gigs and a demo the band finally went on its separate ways. The three left standing- Me, Martin Olsen and Ola Karlström started a new project called The Tomorrows. The first single from The Tomorrows "Cry For Yesterday" can be heard right here on MySpace. It's from our upcoming(2008),selfproduced and so far untitled album, which will be promoted on MySpace later on this year-So keep your ears and eyes open. You can listen to the new single and some old stuff from my former bands/projects on the MySpace Mp3player. After a while I was also asked to join the new StämBandet. StämBandet is one of the south of Swedens most hired and popular coverbands. My newest project is called Hagen and Coldfingers, a songwriting team which is focused on theme music such as soundtracks for film/TV and commercials...Peace and love/Jon.
