Nomad-I's family hails from Naples, Italy and currently lives in Medford, MA. While growing up around many friends of Jamaican descent, he was introduced to reggae music at a young age. This exposure allowed him to learn the language and influenced him to begin writing music himself. Nomad-I has been recording and performing since 1997 and was formerly known under the artist name Mad Ant. His repetoir holds a long list of performances alongside artists such as: Collie Buddz, TOK, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Mr Easy, Bounty Killer, Fat Joe, 112 and many others.Recently Nomad-I has been written and reviewed in The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, even the world renowned Skope Magazine (July/Aug). He has also been named Lockdown Entertainment's Artist of the Month in September of 2007. Nomad-I's greatest achievement to date may be his nomination in 4 categories for reggae musics prestigious annual Joe Higgs Music Awards, the nominations include: Best New Artist, Best International Artist, Best Stage Performer, and Delroy Wilson Rising Star Award. This ceremony will be held on Dec 8th (view this event in Nomad-I's upcoming show list), where he, his label, and fans hope to see him be rewarded for his work.
