About Me

It's always been all about the music. He's always been the go-to-guy for hot, new beats. Just ask anyone who has ever worn out one of his mixes. And he first realized he was a natural-born DJ at the moments at every bar & club he visited, when he noticed that he cared more about the quality of the music & mixing than anything else going on around him. Other DJs know the feeling...the obsession with mixing in the hits people already love in combination with the DJ's unique style, song selection & rhythm -- a style people couldn't imagine they would love so much.
J. eMCee (name deriving from his initials 'JMC' & formerly known as "DJ Big Jon") has been working on perfecting that vibe for years. As a co-founder of Tru Blu Entertainment, a mobile DJ business out of the Boston area, his foundation was spinning at college house parties, high school dances & formals, weddings, charity events, fundraisers, and other private events. The next step was certificate-wielding DJ courses at DJ Mix Academy. Then joining nationally respected record pools. Then creating his own local record pool. The largest fuel to the fire, however, was the move from CD decks to mp3/vinyl (Serato Scratch Live), which started to morph a true musician. It's been full-out go time ever since.
Breaking records, scratching, and beatmixing have now become his passion. The continued mastering of these three elements will elevate J. eMCee into the upper-echelon of the ever-growing number of DJs, and you will undoubtedly hear more and more about him in the near future, wherever you are from!
J. eMCee is currently affiliated with Tru Blu Ent., JSquad DJs, JewelsE Inc., and Shift Productions. Watch out, because J. eMCee is breaking into the Boston club and radio scene, as well as working with local artists on promotional mixtapes & tracks. His second release in the Summah Sizzlah mixtape series turned out to be his most successful thusfar, with over 500 copies of the 2007 edition distributed both digitally and in print to fans in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Maine, Ohio, Illinois, California, Canada and even Alaska!
J. eMCee remains true to the music, and true to the goal of always entertaining every person who hears his music either on a mixtape, the radio or in the club. He always strives to leave people with the feeling of "damn, that was hot!" When the dancefloor is pulsing and he drops that one killer joint that just makes the crowd explode......that's what J. eMCee lives for. He lives for the music.
