BUSTER

Born in Lisbon,Portugal, Buster first started Djing in 1999 surrounded by the atmosphere of the underground scene of DnB squat parties in London.In the same year he went to Poland to Dj in a millenium party in Krakov. During 2000 he continued Djing DnB at the London underground scene plus in a variety of venues in South London clubs like Dogstar, George IV and at the prologue of the mytical Exodus Festival in Lunton, UK and also in Holland, Amsterdam in venues such as The Film Academy and De Bron. By this time he started to expand his practice through radio shows by invitation of the Power vs Power and Laclicka . In 2001 he engaged with the Pitchless Soundsystem in various collaborations across London in venues such as The Mass, Acton Arms and Button Factory.Also in this year , Buster went to Portugal and played in Blue Bar ,Medieval and Casa Encantada in Lisbon and Naif Bar and Ribeira D'Ouro in Oporto. In 2002 along his Djing in London , he went to Italy to participate in the Free Festival of Formia (south Italy) , in Amsterdam at the Film Academy and at the club Solla in Mastricht, Holland. The year of 2003 turned out to be a year of change on his Djing practice as he started to incorporate more of break beats and nuskool style on his sets.By the end of this year he started his own internet radio show- Basspaths- at the WirelessFM internet radio(www.wirelessfm.net),show that he has been kepping alive till the present. The year of 2004 was the year where break beats started to be the main providing source for Buster sets, altought he still kept some DnB sets for the 4th birthday of the Badmood Collective(www.badmood.net) in venues such as the Lotus Bar and Lontra both in Lisbon. He also joined the Dj colective Dandruff Crew to act as a bridge between Portugal and London break beats scene: later this year he started together with Dj Hope (breakfusion) and Rita the Dandruff Breaks night at The Psycadelic Dream Temple in Camden ,London, where he kept a residencie for a year. In 2005 ,he keeps evolving his sets through nuskool breaks and DnB influences, and his practice has become more solid as he often plays in some of the London major and crowded party scenes in clubs such as SE1, The Pool and the Foundry.In 2006 you can still hear him in his weekly internet radio show"BASSPATHS",he returned to Amsterdam to headline one of the two days street-art and music festival"THE STREETS ARE OUR CANVAS",back in London he keeps dj'ing in diferrent venues such as the "RED STAR",where recently played at "THE GATHERING"toguether with dj's from France and Colombia.
