Nina Alverdes was born in Munich in 1980. She’s the daughter of two artists, Max and Renate Bärmichl. Love for music was transferred to her in the womb. During the early years of her life Nina traveled with her parents in “the caravan of play†all over Europe with musicians from South America and the former Yugoslavia.She has been performing since she was seven years old. In 1989 the entire family settled in Italy. Starting with the congas she learned percussion by the age of 13, taught by her African friends. She played in the band Baobabs Dunia where she discovered her passion for singing. She learned to sing Creol playing with Jambe. She also started singing in English, Lingala and French at this time.In 2001 she joined the Reggae band Orange dub sharing the stage with artists like Barrington Levi, Luciano, Morgan Heritage, Antony B, Buju Banton, Junior Kelly e Yellow Man.In the Autumn of 2005 Nina relocated to Munich with her boyfriend Paulo Mariangeli (Crucialbeat) to look for new musical connections. In 2007 they started to work with the band Santeria & The Porn Horns. At the same time she started to work with another singer named Sista Lou who had many experiences with groups like Headcornerstone and Wally Warning.Nina Alverdes writes in English, German and Italian and is produced by Crucialbeat Productions. They play reggae with all the different nuances from rocksteady to newroots to dance hall with her own unique style.In 2008 Nina started her solo singing career in her own home country.
