TJAINEE-I was born in Suriname (South America) under the name of Yoni Tjon. Sleeping next to the radio as a kid he went to sleep and got up every day hearing tunes varying from Cutty Ranks Limb by Limb to Madonnas Like A Virgin and Sir Mix A Lots Baby Got Back. He always enjoyed listening to music but it was not until the late age of 20 that dj-ing caught his interest through friends who were already rockin several clubs. He started buying records and got himself a set of turntables so he could start on developing his style which would eventually determine the way that people would get to know him.
When getting airtime in clubs, he got to try to bring a little variety to the parties. Trying the mix of R&B/ HipHop and a touch of Dancehall he was time by time surprised to see the crowds positive reaction to his tunes. He got inspired by the upcoming dancehall scene in the Netherlands and started spinning more dancehall.
In 2003 he hooked up with RUKSHUN, an MC originating from St. Martin. PARAHEIGHTZ SOUND was born, a name new to the scene that was going to bring a new style of entertainment to parties.
Together they started working on their show wanting to let the party scene experience their energetic form of entertainment and with the goal of winning an audience for themselves.
Wanting to let the people feel the vibe of South America and the Islands, they decided to pull out more Caribbean tunes and adding them to the shows repertoire.
Through collaboration with rap artists from St. Martin, Jamaica and the USA, TJAINEE-I is able to get his hands on dub plates and exclusive tunes that allow him to be different from other sound selectors.
TJAINEE-I is a deejay that now plays a hyper blend of Hiphop and RnB , Soca, Zouk, Dancehall, Reggaeton and an occasional Bachata for the lovers. With international club experiences in Zurich-Switzerland, Munster-Germany, Paris-France, Paramaribo-Suriname and South Florida, this dj is well on his way to stating a name for himself nationally as well as internationally.
