First and foremost, watching Notre Dame football. Some might call it an obsession but, like Lou Holtz said, I feel sorry for anyone who isn't a fan of Notre Dame because they're just misinformed. I also like playing baseball and watching the Dodgers, if only to listen to Vin Scully. Other than that, just hanging out, watching TV and trying, with no luck, to finally win a fantasy baseball league. Lately I've been writing again....just about every type of gibberish you can imagine.
Richard Nixon...a wild one who has always gotten a bum wrap for playing by the rules he walked in to. Definitely the Good Doctor, Hunter S. Thompson, as well. In fact, if at all possible, I'd love to sit the two of them down for a drink and some appetizers and listen them talk about the "doomed." Ahhh, who else....George Carlin, the entire cast of Monty Python, the Kids in the Hall, Ben Weasel, Joe Queer, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Pope Innocent XII, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Jean-Paul Sartre, Nietzsche, Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Christopher Walken, Baudelaire, Grace Kelly, Christina Ricci, Shoeless Joe, Lou Holtz, Brady Quinn, Norman Mailer and maybe even Jesus, just for kicks....but only if I could get him together with Criss Angel and David Blaine to see who would win. Oh and of course, Kirk Gibson, just so I can thank him personally.
Screeching Weasel, The Queers, Boris the Sprinkler, The Ramones, The Clash, NOFX, Pinhead Gunpowder, Jon Cougar Concentration Camp, Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, Teen Idols, The Distillers, The Eyeliners, The Dwarves, The Pink Lincolns, The Lillingtons, The Vindictives, The Riverdales and Ben Weasel's solo stuff just to name a few. I also like the Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Stray Cats, Stevie Ray, Jimi, Eric Clapton and Cream. Some other artists are Radiohead, The Smoking Popes, any punk rock cover song, Sublime, Marley, Weezer, and Nirvana.
Old school for the most part. Hard to say what would be my favorite on any given day, but The Outlaw Josie Wales is tough to beat. The Usual Suspects is also up there. For the most part I'll try anything once except romantic comedies (Jersey Girl being a notable exception). I like a lot of comedies. I dig Kevin Smith movies (Dogma has to be one of the greates movies ever) and Star Wars. I love all the Stanley Kubrick movies, even though Eyes Wide Shut was kind of a let down. The Cohen Brothers are bad ass and Raising Arizona is certainly in my top 10 of all time....Nicholas Cage before he had to start scrounging for bullshit roles. All the Monty Python movies are classics. Any good indie movie will also do and, of course, Where the Buffalo Roam.
Don't watch as much TV as I used to but most of the HBO series are my favorites....it's really a toss up between The Sopranos and OZ for my favorite. I love watching House and if I ever find myself in a hospital and no one knows what to do, somebody better damn well find Dr. Gregory House. I like watching Sportscenter and just about anything on the History channel.Cubicle Wars 2006

I'm a philosophy major so I'll read just about anything. Lately I've been into papal history and the roots of the Catholic church. Anything by Hunter Thompson will be read in a day. I'll also still dig into the books I didn't sell for pennies on the dollar in school and I got a bunch since I took my time. Presidential biographies are somethings I'm reading right now, a book on Reagan and one on Nixon. Basically I love to read anything to see how people can manipulate, twist and torture the English language.George Carlin - Incomplete list of Impolitewords
