About Me

I'm one of the illest, most postmodern and unprocessed professors you'll ever meet. I'm also the author of a groundbreaking book called T.D. Jakes: America's New Preacher. It's the first critical study on the life, message, and ministry of Bishop Jakes. I just finished my second book (co-authored with historian Phillip Sinitiere)called Holy Mavericks: Evangelical Innovators and the Spiritual Marketplace, due to come out in 2008, as a fascinating look at celebrity preachers like Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Paula White and others. I'm currently working on my third project, a hot and spicy book that, well, uh, has nothing to do with religion :)
