my girl, my mates, live music, film, music on record, televison, computer games, playing guitar, spending all night in shitty towns
"i'll turn your empires into dust
i'll watch your engines as they rust
i'll crush your statues under foot
i'll write you in my hating book"
i like guitar music but not wholly and not exclusively, i quite like things that go beep too. i am partial to a few things that don't really do eithier of those too.
some bands i like are in my friends list so if you REALLY need to know, look there. or ask and I shall rattle off a long list then inform you you should love them all too.
Or you can look at this thing:
i also love live music. as long as it's good. shit bands shouldn't be allowed to play live. certainly not at gigs i'm attending.
i am talking to you lights, you shitty pretentious (not in the good way) wankers. fuck off. and die.
star wars sparked the passion to begin with
lars von trier insipired new things in me
there was things before, since and after. i love them all.
because of what i do with mwtmc i'm really interested in the way other people put live performance to tape and film, these are some of my favourites:
and all that could have been & beside you in time (nine inch nails), P*U*L*S*E (pink floyd), cover your portsmouth and hold it (oceansize)*, arriving somewhere (porcupine tree), cunning stunts (metallica), under blackpool lights (the white stripes)
*... er... ok that one was us
yes. sometimes. no. maybe.
televisons a funny beast. sometimes it's groundbreaking, exciting, inventive clever, thought provoking and inspiring.
sadly most of the time it's pap.
sometimes. less then televsion sadly. depends. i like some.
i've found myself half way through four or five books recently, a couple of which i've read before. typical.
