Jon Eriksen

As a noise artist Eriksen has since 1999 been playing improvised sets at venues and galleries in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Italy, France and the USA. His music is eclectic and intense, and connects as much to harsh noise tradition as to extreme forms of electronica and electroacoustic music. Eriksens live sets are harsh, physical, and very direct, while his recorded output carries a stronger sense of form and are executed with a lot of attention to detail. His music has been released on several compilations and labels in Norway, Sweden, UK, Russia, The Netherlands, Austria and Germany. Eriksen's latest releases are a split cd with Sten Ove Toft and Utarm on Roggbif Records and an ep for Bruit. He is currently working on a full length album.
