NIEDERFLUR

Cologne based very minimal techno

About Me

Cologne-based duo of Hannes Wenner and Christopher Bleckmann. Inspired by the U-Bahn, the subway system that runs through their city, Wenner and Bleckmann at first have captured the essence and ambience of its sterile, sleek structures in the form of forcefully tapping beats and an array of clicks, creaks, and distant voices. Not to forget the deep Sine-basses, that are unleashed in every track. Richie Hawtin called them basslines from hell, meaning the hidden force that lies underneath them. NIEDERFLUR gets a strikingly maximized amount out of the few elements at the producers' disposal. The 4/4 beats are stripped down to the essence, making it easier for the listener to get lost in the maze of textures and sounds that endlessly emanate. Recently released tracks on minus´ MIN2MAX compilation Vol.1 + 2 show clearly a strong development in NIEDERFLUR´s sound from the strict early musical concept to a more open way of interpreting the minimal-sound of today their way.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.1
