.. I’m a choreographer. I’ve started working in France, the country where I am from, when I was 22 years old. When I was 24 I moved to Portugal. Since then, little by little, the questions of the structure, of the context appeared to me, in my choreographic work. Maybe now, the one of the context is the only that survived. What context creates a theatre? What context creates a theatrical situation? What context creates the making of a dance piece? What is the context of the making of a dance piece? What context creates an authorship? What context creates a body? What context creates a citizenship? Those are, today, the basics that set my problematics, the problematics I want to share with the audience. I’m a visitor of those contexts. Pieces after pieces there are less and less choices to do. Because the initial choice to make a piece takes more and more weight, questioning the context of such a choice is a way to start, or don't.
