At the beggining, in 1998, Antonio, Federico and Alessandro formed thePick-Up, a punk-inspirated band.
Later in 2000, Riccardo joined them as the vocalist and in2002 Andrea joined The Pick-Up as the rhytm-guitar player. beyond the years, the line-up andthe sound genre changed, moving to rock music.
In 2003 Riccardo left the band and they werein front of a radical change. The rock music they've always played no more belonged to them. Itwas mainly made of Guns'n Roses and RHCP covers while their own songs were few.
They needed to change style and start again. And they did so.
Moewy were born and a new era started for the fourmusicians. No more cover, no more compromises to please the club-owners and no more easy shortcuts.
In the course of a year, Moewy composed about ten songs or more, recorded twohome-recording EP.
They played in live performances as more as possible, also partecipatingin many contests, such as, "diesis made in" in S. Donà di Piave (Venice) where they came infirst and opened Mario Venuti's concert at "Non Solo Music Live Festival" (S. Donà di Piave).Then they got the first place in the authors and composers section for the pop cathegory in thecontest organised by Media Sound of Venice. They also received a special award from critics forthe best song of the contest.
In summer 2005 Moewy started a mini- tour in Bosnia, they played withMangia Margot, in two concert in Gradaciaz and Modrica. One of the last venue was the win ofthe contest matched to Venice Marathon so they played at "Al Vapore" (Marghera, Venice).
As in the past, now the principal aim of Moewy is a fuckin' RECORD DEAL!
