About Me

Hello bonjour,
I'm Franck from France. Got no lover but many friends, brothers and sisters, no father anymore, but an healthy mother. What else you should know ? Oh yes, I never say no for eating a piece of camembert... a chronic private joke !
Very young, I listened to music a lot, sung badly and played guitar. I wrote my first song at the age of 11, did my first band at 17 and commited a (terrible) single at 18. Then I played with the new wave French duet Ivanhoe. We released an album and two singles between 1983 and 1985.
Then again I worked for France 3 and La Cinquième (which became France 5 since), two interesting TV channels, in different services (production, cinema unit, legal departement...)
At the end of 2005 I created my own business.
I had a grocery shop in Paris called Très Nord (Very North) and sold typical Northern European food products from 14 countries from Ireland to Estonia. More than 250 products were available. Unfortunatly I had to stop, as the "clientele" seemed very suspicious about Northern products... Are French not curious about foreign cuisine ?
Now I live in Brussels, where I found a job for a young company, full of promisses...
Last but not least, I write for the incredibly gorgeous and oldest fanzine of France Abus Dangereux, based in Bordeaux, available everywhere in "rock shops". Isn't it cool ?

My Interests

...s and majors !

Françoise Dorleac

These days, I listen to "Freedom wind" by Explorer's Club, "The Smilers" by Aimee Mann, "Circular sounds" by Kelley Stoltz, "Neanderthal" by Spleen United, Here's The Rhonda Harris, Hercules and Love Affair, and many more. I'll feel very French tomorrow when Sebastien Tellier will represent France during the Eurovision Song Contest.. Allez Seb !
