About Me

I am short and small in frame which is why I often refer to myself as a keeblerette--a female keebler elf. I am a little quirky, but in a good way, I think. And, I have a major query here to Myspace: "Why does it take Myspace a gajillion years to load?"

My Interests

Photography; CLIMBING; travelling; reading, sometimes; and the beach :)

I'd like to meet:

I have no standards -- it seems my life has taken a turn for the better having met random people. Diversity and all walks of life are appreciated.

Music:

Sheryl Crow, U2, Garbage, Radiohead, mostly alternative rock, but I do need my techno which includes trance, fantasy, and mixes with other types of music (i.e. Opera w/ techno or jazz-techno).

Movies:

Rushmore, by far, is one of the best comedies. Then, there's some others I like: Good Will Hunting, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Silence of the Lambs, Bridget Jones' Diary, and Dead Poet's Society.

Television:

I watch Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien religiously. Some more TV shows to add to the list are: "Arrested Development" and "The Office."

Books:

I don't read that often. But, I tried to read this year, and I am mostly into nonfiction, and I liked "A Beautiful Mind" and "Who Says Elephants Can't Dance: Inside IBM's Historic Turnaround." "Da Vinci Code" was not that bad for a fictional book, but it is highly unlikely that it would be that easy to find the holy grail. "My Life" by Bill Clinton is also a good fictional book.

Heroes:

Gandhi and Linus Pauling

Independence Day 2007

Independence Day fell on a Wednesday which--depending on how you look at it--is a blessing or a curse.  You can tack on vacation days to it or you just have one day off.  Anyways, I tried to...

Check out my trip to Washington DC.  Tons of fun and really patriotic.  No, didn't see W but got to see a lot of everything else.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/keeblerette/sets/7215760...

Are blogs and personal websites an arrogant shrine to yourself?

Cool Blog

This is a pretty good blog and discusses current events and politics: http://time.blogs.com/daily_dish/ Andrew Sullivan is articulate and he's a Republican who dislikes the Bush administration. ...
