About Me

I'm a family-oriented guy & a big brother (well, not THAT "big" compared to my 23 y/o "lil sis" as she refers to herself), and I'm very proud of my sister and her accomplishments this far in life! People consider me a nice/kind/caring guy who wants to help people in life, a loyal friend who will do anything for those close to me, and a kid at heart. I've been a nature-lover since birth. If you wanna know anything else, then just ask! You can find me on Friendster as well...

My Interests

Anything outdoors (I love hiking, running, swimming, snorkeling, bike-riding), and wildlife photography goes along with that. Some of my favorite spots are the Mammoth Lakes and Mono Lake, but any National or State park is great too! I'm a sucker for languages even though they must be pounded into my head... Language helps with communications (duh!), and I like people! The languages tackled include Spanish (3 years in high school and now weak attempts to get a good history from Spanish-speaking patients) and Mandarin (no, I don't remember much of it... so if you're patient, wanna help me practice?) I also like learning about other cultures & beliefs, so feel free to teach me! Other interests are issues pertaining to the protection of the natural environment, preventive medicine for kids, and animals (especially large dogs... & can't wait to have some!)

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet new friends from all over the place, building a nice network of people. It'd also be great to catch up with old friends from high school and college, which this site seems to do! In fact, most of the people on my list of friends are from school over the years.

Music:

just about any... r&b, hip-hop, island style & reggae, oldies, classical, jazz...

Movies:

comedies

Television:

what's that?

Books:

The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down

Heroes:

Besides the basics (God, family), those little kids who suffer from illnesses and somehow manage to go on in life with a carefree disposition and happy/loving attitudes are my heroes. They're so innocent, and often don't comprehend that their lives might abruptly be cut short if their treatment fails. If you've never spent much time with little kids (other than getting annoyed by them fussing/crying in public), I'd encourage you to do so at a hospital or other location so you can see just how little they really demand and how little it takes to make them so happy.
