DJ Plus One is a member of the Scratch Perverts, one of the most progressive and successful DJ crews of all time. At 19 years old he won the 2000 Vestax DJ World Championship in Tokyo, and placed 2nd to Atrak in the ITF World final in LA. A year later he went on to win the ultimate title, 2001 World DMC Champion, beating Kentaro and Klever, to become the first triumphant UK contender since 1989. In the same year he placed 1st in the Hip Hop Connection Readers Poll top 10 DJs- something previously not achieved by someone from the UK. Plus One now tours the world over with the Scratch Perverts, playing unique and eclectic sets. His musical style fuses hip hop with electro, rock, breaks, drum n bass and beyond. He is also an established music producer, making beats for both the Scratch Perverts and Jack Beats. He has worked on productions, collaborations and remixes for and with artists such as Mos Def, Ian Brown, Black Thought (Roots), Dynamite MC, Fallacy, Rodney P, Skinnyman, Killa Kela, Lost Love Launch, The Card Board Cut Outs, Skitz, Skibadee, McKay, Orifice Vulgatron, Dubbledge, Ed Rush & Optical, TC, Deekline & Wizard, Mark B, Blade, The Creators, DJ Yoda, MC Trip,Rookwood and more. DJ Plus One has worked on various mix albums- ranging from his own 'Champion Sounds' on DMC, to the best selling Fabric live, and Badmeaning good mixes with the Scratch Perverts (with whom he also co-created their now famous essential mix- which was subsiquently nominated for essential mix of the year 2005). Aside from music production, Plus One also does graphic design for Scratch Perverts record label, and Beatdown club nights and events. He also co-owns, and runs the brand new 'Ahead of the Game records' with Beni G of the Mixologists- responsible for the release of arguably the biggest uk hip hop club banger of 2006- Skibadee's- Tika Toc.
