electroacoustic computer music, sounddesign

About Me

Started 1996 first as a sideproject of my industrial outfit Notstandskomitee, it quickly become a life on its own. Like my earlier electronic ventures in the 80s, its more experimental and closly connected to the visual arts. The main feature of this electroacoustic music that its done only with software instead of hardware synthesizers. Besides my custom applications I use Max/MSP, pd and csound. Concerts where regular given and I played in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, UK, Cuba, Thailand and USA so far. Besides this and my other musical projects I do media-art , soundtracks and -design for movies and videogames, lectures and workshops, alternating under the brand Elektronengehirn or my real name, Malte Steiner.
