Jochen Heym is an audiovisual media artist from Darmstadt / Germany. He combines classical music with electronical elements to a complete new composition. As music itself is not enough he also creates the music videos for the compositions. Therefore he does not care much about the modality but rather about the very intense emotion transmitted. Hence every artwork is a familiar and at the same time exotic world you can’t subduct of.

Deconstructed Emotion is Jochen Heyms final bachelor exam. It was made in combination with a video and took 4 month to create. The main focus on the song was to combine complex beat arrangements with touching melodies. Thanks to Chip Tronic for vocals and Tobias Kohler for equipment.
Marlet is a song that features complex editing and fx work. The elements are constantly developing like a jazz tune.
Deconstructed draft is a prior much more harsh and drafty version of deconstructed emotion but if you listen close you can sort what is left of it in the final version.
Upstart Extended was made for a advertising agency as music for their showreel. It matches classical arrangements with synths and break beats. Extended because it was much shorter in the beginning and was extended to twice the length to fit to the final edit of the showreel. The main focus was on accessibility and fitting to the given pictures.
