About Me

Is this the bit where I'm supposed to 'big myself up'? Is that the expression? Oh, I dunno... I'm currently the bass player in the Leeds spacerock band Lunar Phase (check us out if you like Floyd, the Doors, Massive Attack etc.). Our songwriting craft has been honed over the years by the two dogs in the band, Candy (labrador/whippet cross, black fur, soulful eyes) and Cecil (Jack Russell cross, feisty, mind of her own) who bark appreciatively if they hear a particularly driving beat or a particularly evocative chord sequence. We're trying to get an album finished. Progress is slow, but we'll get there.About sixty-five million years ago, during the Cretaceous-Tertiary period, I was the original guitarist in The Bluefoot Project (this is going back to when The Underground was still open in Leeds and Corinne Bailey Rae still worked on the door!). So that's obviously a long time ago!!I've gone all digital but I still miss writing on a four-track. I'm a bit of a Luddite at heart. People assure me that this MySpace world is real, but it doesn't feel like it sometimes....I'm extremely lazy, would rather have both my legs sawn off and shoved up my backside than get a proper job. I've been searching in my psyche for some childhood trauma to explain this awful attitude, but...alas...the fact seems to be that I'm just very lazy! There's so much I don't understand about the world. In the Qu'ran it says we should all be nice to one another. In the Bible it says the same. So why are we all fighting? Is it because time and resources are running out for all of us? Before you dismiss my naiive simplicity, I'd like to point out that I'm not a religious nut, atheist or an agnostic. I've had a near-death experience, so I know that the whole of time has already happened; the past, the present and future are the same, and they're all out there already. In the meantime, in this world...take care everyone, and thanks for saying hello!
