Gross Miss Kondukt was instigated in early 2004 by two deranged French minds. The conspirators, male/female duo SoundinistA and Riotmiloo , gave birth to their project in London UK after being self fed by the desire to contribute in the protest against the world’s unbalanced economy and flouted human rights by providing some anti imperialist electro berserk beats 'n' screams.
Their electronic punk sound is raw and extreme, borrowing its roots from DHR, implemented it on their own hardcore kicks and sexy crazy bass riffs, then mixed up with industrial painful noises and riotboyzzzz / riotgrrrrrrl’s distorted voices.
GMK is not an answer, it is a shout of protest to express their concerns about the world we live in, wars, women rights, unionists’ murders, globalisation and neo liberalism are the triggers of their inspiration… Anything can grab their anger and lead to an audio mayhem. They hate the corporations and their puppets, aka the (western) world’s leaders but they love dissidence and loud noise…
