Shane Cough remixes London based metal industrial band Interlock . It will feature on the skinless Ep. More information in their blog section.
Oversaturated guitars, synthetic waves, beats on speed and a charismatic riot-girl, this is Shane Cough : somewhere between the apocalyptic Berlin of Alec Empire and the goth Los Angeles of NIN, the sensuality of PJ Harvey unites with the epileptic waves of sound of Aphex Twin. Their universe is fed by aesthetic nightmares and films noirs, ambiances rather calm or source of anxiety. A true prelude to digital terrorism invaded by the spellbound and toxic presence of Marianne, the "femme fatale" you've always dreaded meeting.
Shane Cough formed in 2000 and released the "Carnal Desire " Ep, which, along with their blasting shows, allows them to be chosen by the famous french festival "le Printemps de Bourges". Nobody was disappointed that day. They delivered a thirty minutes concert of rage and fury then left abruptly, leaving the audience astounded and mute. This performance earned them immediately the best rock band award. Then they focused on their first album, "Delight In Disorder", a disturbing mixture of noisy guitars, industrial beats, trip-hop or jungle rhythms and movie samples, claiming Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey, Atari Teenage Riot, Portishead and NIN as their influences as well as Dario Argento, David Lynch, or John Carpenter. "Delight In Disorder" lead this electro-punk band to tour around France and Switzerland for more than 100 gigs. But suddenly (again!), they stopped. Marianne flied to Portland, Oregon, while the others finished their academic studies.
Back to France, Marianne played the role of Corail in "Oxygene : valeur morte" (oxygen : dead value), a short movie directed by Clement Tuffreau, for which Gauthier composed a strange soundtrack, revealing influences from Badalamenti. Meanwhile, the band worked on its second album and played two devastating shows in the summer, time to revive memories. Fury was undoubtedly present. The machines happened to be implacable. And that's how they were noticed by the french hardcore/punk label Enrage Production which signed the band and sent them to Stockholm so as to record a few titles with the swedish producer Adam Kviman. Regards to his experience (Clawfinger, The Rasmus, Backyard Babies, The Wannadies..), the producer fitted Shane Cough's ambitions and succeeded in perfecting the link between the coldness of the electronic base, the sensuality of the voice and the power of the guitars.
So here is their second album : "Intraveineuse". Incisive, violent, rock, sensual and decadent, ready to throw the scene into a full black-out. Last detail : past the black-out, they never do encores...

Shane Cough remixes Dead Sexy Inc

"Kamikaze" is a perfect icon for Dead Sexy Inc: it's a raw, wild sweaty rock n'roll track with vintage guitars and modern raucous vocals. Another challenge to bend this tune into an electro-rock hit. ...
