About Me

MASH UP SOUNDSYSTEM ON MYSPACE

MASH UP RECORDS mutated from something else in 1997 with handmade cdr's. Became a "real" label in 2002 with release of [ooooooooo] 12" [DIM] being distributed in Europe and about 10 records being distributed here in the U.S by CUTUPS [He probably still has them so get in touch!;]. We've followed up with BLACK NOISE GENERATOR [12" nine tracker...how short can songs get you say? PUNK!]...a mixture of noisy breaky hardcore techno, dark breaky electro + stupid dub...And are now following up with KLANGKLANG 4 compilation, featuring AWESOME producers who performed at the last annual KLANG KLANG in los angeles on February 6, 2004. [the party we do annually] The label is about MASHING UP GENRES...MASHING IT UP WITH FRIENDS...GETTING MASHED...basically its about not being pigeonholed into one genre. Who knows...maybe the next record will be completely different [we'd gladly be a pr agents' worst nightmare if only the distros wouldn't drop us;]
